Surrender, Allow and Expand

Surrender to the past,
Allow the present,
Expand for your future.

In searching for meaning for this blog and for a title, the only thing that kept running through my head were the words... surrender, allow and expand. Okay, I thought, this is good, this represents all that I teach and practice.

See many years ago I was a very different person than I am now. I was brought to my knees in the area of personal growth and I had to deal with my past. The "past" that I am sure everyone has in one form or another. The one that looms in the corners of your mind, the one that hinders you from moving forward in your life. So, instead of closing the door on it, I opened the door and let it all fly out. See that was my way of "allowing" myself to let go of all that kept me from being the person I knew I could be. Allowing put me in a place of healing and a place of peace. Then came time for expansion. I really ran with this one! : ) After all the corners of my mind were free of the clutter it was time to fill it up with the good stuff! I read every book imaginable (you can see a short list of those on my Reading List tab) in the arena of personal growth. I attended intensives that allowed me to further purge and expand. See for me expansion was all about stepping into my power, re-claiming what I knew I was here to do!

So, through my experiences and what I teach, I have created this blog for all of us, you and me, to continue to grow. I was a little trepidatious about posting my personal obstacles and triumphs b/c I knew that clients and potential clients would be reading.  However, that is exactly WHY I put this together.  My wish is that you, through me, will reflect on your own life and grow. I care about people and this blog is me being real and not allowing myself to stand behind FEAR. (False Evidence Appearing Real).

All my best,
Faith

Reading this reminds me of a saying I once heard ... "what we bring from the past to the present affects our future". So, I am all for clearing out those past "closets" to make for a much tidier and better future!
